$50 per person (includes tour and lunch)
Join F&M friends and journey back to the year 1787 during an autumn day in Old New Castle.
We will begin at 11 a.m. with lunch at Jessop's Tavern & Colonial Restaurant on Delaware Street. Mary Ann Levine, Associate Professor of Anthropology, will join us to discuss what life was like in the era of F&M’s founding.
Then, we will enjoy a guided walking tour through Old New Castle, Delaware, presented by the New Castle Historical Society. New Castle was the Colonial capital of Delaware. Today you can still enjoy views of the Delaware River, cobblestone streets, the town green, and enjoy shopping in quaint local stores. Our tour will include a visit to The George Read House & Gardens.
Logistical details and directions will be sent to registrants two days before the event. Register here or by calling Alumni & Parent Relations at 866-925-5500.
