Solar Hemicycle, 3995 Shawn Trail, Middleton, WI 53562-3521
No charge for admission
Please join fellow Diplomats in celebrating the start of the fall season with a very special event in Madison on Sunday, September 29, from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
John ’61 and Betty Moore are hosting F&M alumni, parents and friends at a reception at their home, Solar Hemicycle (also known as Jacobs House II), which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1944. The home is the prototype of Wright’s passive solar design and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2003. It also won a preservation award from the Madison Trust for Historic Preservation in 2008. We are so fortunate that this historic treasure is now owned and cared for by members of our own F&M community!
At the gathering, we will enjoy casual tours of the home and property (weather-permitting), and our hosts will tell us about the history of Jacobs House II. Cathie Ferry, from F&M’s Office of College Advancement, will also be on hand to share news and updates from the College. Refreshments will be served.
We hope you will join us! Register here or call F&M Alumni Relations at
Please feel free to contact Cathie Ferry at email@example.com or Alumni Relations with any questions.
